Daddy please don't look so sad

-----------------------MY STORY------------------------

We lost our angel from birth complications. I was attempting a VBAC (Vaginal Birth after Cesarean), and my uterus ruptured. It tore the full lenght of the uterus down the middle, which is the thinnest part of the uterus.

I started having contractions on the morning of Feb. 13th. They were every ten minutes and about 30 seconds long. After about 30 hours of those I decided I needed to go to the hospital. When I got there the contractions started getting sparatic and so they sent me home and said to come back when they were 5 minutes apart and 60 to 90 seconds long. By the time I got home they were back to the regular 10 minutes apart, so I tried to take a warm bath to move things along. After about 36 hours of these contractions they started getting a little stronger and a lot closer together, at one point they were one on top of the other, but they were still only 45 second long. I called my doctors' office and the nurse told me to come on in and they would check things out. I was waiting for my husband to come home from picking up my first son, Isaac, from daycare, and I felt a sudden burning sensation in my lower right abdomen. It was the worst pain I had ever felt. We rushed to hospital, and I called the doctor on the way and told him to meet me there. When I got to the hospital the nurse was unable to find a heartbeat, and when they broke my water there was blood in the fluid. At that point I was rushed into surgery. The doctor tried for 20 minutes to revive Jacob to no avail. I got to hold him and keep him with me for about 7 hours before I let them take him. The chances of having a uterine rupture is about 1%. It is very rare, and I didn't even realize that it was a risk. Since then I have done a lot of research about it and found a wonderful support group for mother that have had uterine rupture. the address is below.
